Day by day

Day 1

Welcome to Olbia

Make your way over to the Marina in Olbia. We will set off on Saturday afternoon where you will be welcomed with a glass of Prosecco, of course! We will drop off our bags on the boat and start getting to know our fellow sailors. There will be a safety briefing and some basic training to ensure that everyone remains safe throughout the trip. Afterwards, we will head off for a welcome dinner in a local restaurant in the marina of Olbia: the perfect occasion to start getting to know your fellow sailors and the crew. After dinner and a few drinks we will head back to the port to sleep on the boat, ready for the gay sail adventure that lies ahead.

Days 2-7

Sailing Sardinia's Coast

On Sunday morning we will leave the port, ready to start exploring. After tugging at the strings we open the sails and head out into the open sea. We have selected only the best professional crew to keep you afloat as we head to the beautiful Mediterranean. We will start making our way to the close-by Tavolara Island, a charming island famous for being the seat of the world’s smallest kingdom. In the next days we will explore amazing spots off the Sardinia Coast: Golfo Aranci, Caprera and Maddalena islands to name a few. The exact itinerary will depend on the winds. We will usually sail during the morning and have breakfast and light lunch on board. In the afternoon/evening we will explore the islands and have dinner in local restaurants or on board.

An example of our itinerary:

Day 2, Sunday: Sail towards Tavolara island to explore. Dinner prepared by your host. Sleep in a bay off Tavolara island.

Day 3, Monday: Sail towards Golfo degli Aranci where we will anchor. Sleep in port in Golfo degli Aranci.

Day 4, Tuesday: Sail towards Caprera, a protected and enchanting island with many romantic hidden bays like the beautiful Cala Coticcio. Sleep in Caprera.

Day 5, Wednesday: Navigate towards Palau, where we will anchor in the local Marina and explore its beautiful little town center. Sleep in Palau.

Day 6, Thursday: Sail towards Porto Cervo, anchoring in a beautiful little bay before making a grand entrance in this wonderful spot.

Day 7, Friday: Sail back to Olbia, arriving in the afternoon. We will sleep on board on Friday night.

Meals: Breakfast & Light Lunch. Some dinners.

After breakfast, we all say goodbye (no tears hopefully) and see you next year for another Sailing Week! Disembarking is on Saturday early morning.

Accommodation & meals

Accommodation is for 7 nights on a modern sailing yacht. The boat features comfortable double cabins (Forward or Master), a fully equipped galley, and at least three bathrooms. Bed linen and bath towels are provided.

Getting there

Fly into and out of Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB). Make your own way to the Marina di Olbia for embarkation on Saturday afternoon. A safety briefing will be held before the welcome dinner.

Do I need sailing experience?+

No, you don't. The trip is led by a professional skipper and host who do all the hard work. They'll be happy to show you the ropes if you're interested. The only requirement is that you are able to swim.

What will the itinerary be?+

The exact itinerary is flexible and depends on the wind and weather conditions to ensure the best and safest experience. A typical route explores the coast and islands near Olbia, including Tavolara, Golfo Aranci, Caprera, the Maddalena archipelago, Palau, and Porto Cervo.

What costs are not included in the price?+

The price does not include flights, airport transfers, or personal travel insurance. A common 'kitty' (shared wallet) will be created on board to cover meals, mooring fees, and fuel. You should budget around €500 per person for this. Tips for the crew are also extra and greatly appreciated.
